We are happy to bring you another rare opportunity to drive the world famous Laguna Seca road course.  Come out and stretch your cars legs on this world famous track in the heart of one of the most beautiful cities on the California coast!  This also the last opportunity to drive this track during a dry season month! There are no other car club track rental opportunities at this facility between June 8th and late October, and most likely not until December. (November has been consumed by private corporate events)  So, if you want to drive Laguna this season this may be your last chance to do it in dry conditions!

This event is being brought to you by the Sacramento Region Porsche Club and TrackMasters Racing.  These two organizations have worked together to bring our respective club members more than a dozen events at this facility and others in the region.  All have been tremendously successful and fun!

More on Sound Controls
Monterey County is fairly tight with sound levels at their facility. Due to the demand for the limited number of higher db days, private events are commonly issued the 90db or 92db days.

For this event, if your vehicle sound emissions are over 92db you will be black flagged and must exit the track. If this happens, you will have 2 additional attempts to correct the problem. You will also have a maximum of 2 sound checks available to you per day.  Failing a sound test does not count as a strike.  If you receive a 3rd strike (black flag) you you will be forced to exit the track and your day will be over. If you continue to drive on the track after your 3rd black flag, you could be fined $1000 per lap by the County of Monterey!  Yes, per lap! So, make sure you can pass sound before you show up at the track, have a contingency plan in place just in case your car is too loud, and keep your eye’s on the turn workers!

If you’re concerned about sound, here’s some tips:

  1. Measure your vehicle sound level under acceleration at another track or on a public roadway.  (Radio Shack has an accurate digital db meter for about $50)
  2. Ensure that your exhaust system is functioning properly.
  3. Modify your exhaust system by adding a larger and/or more restrictive muffler designed for more sound reduction. (complete mufflers and/or SuperTrap baffle plates)

Refunds
Registration fees will be refunded if cancellations are received 15 days prior to the event date.  In the case of a late cancellation, refunds will only be issued if we have people on the wait list to take your place. There are absolutely no refunds for cancellations within 72 hours of an event.

Weather related cancellations are not likely for these events. If there's a need to cancel due to weather, the event management team will work with the track to minimize financial exposure and refund any remaining funds to each participant.
